THE UP PROJECT
A World Above Our Heads

The UP PROJECT simply put is a view from below. We rarely look directly above our heads unless prompted and in not doing so miss an entire world of ceiling tiles, light fixture arrangement and trees reaching for the clouds. 

This collection is the result of a 90 degree camera angle and a little creativity, including various photographs of the moon. 

All of my work is personal but this UP PROJECT is especially personal as it was started in 2018 as a way to distract myself during the quiet moments of waiting while accompanying my ailing mom and supporting my family during difficult hospital stays.

My mom passed away last year having lived a fulfilling life so this project about looking up is dedicated to Evelyn Hazel Harry, the woman that still inspires me.
